Scott, who has been employed in the surety industry since 1981, joined Western Surety in 1987 as a Senior Underwriter. He was promoted to Assistant General Manager in 1994 and Underwriting Manager in 2001.
On January 1, 2008, Scott was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. The latter position was eliminated on December 31, 2010 and Scott was promoted to Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2011.
Scott attended SIAST and the University of Regina, receiving his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, currently recognized as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), in 1988. In 2005, he completed an extensive Executive Upgrade program at the University of Western Ontario.

Jordan is General Counsel for Western Surety Company, as well as Chief Compliance Officer.
Prior to joining Western Surety Company in 2022 Jordan practiced law both in private practice and as in-house counsel for Saskatchewan's commercial crown corporations. He has specialized in the areas of corporate/ commercial law and insolvency & restructuring.
Jordan obtained his law degree (Juris Doctor, Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to attending law school, Jordan obtained his B.B.A. (Finance, Great Distinction) and a Certificate in Economics from the University of Regina.

James joined Western Surety in 2021 as our Chief Claims Manager. James leads the claims operations for Western Surety across Canada. James’s background includes 15 years of progressive experience in the P&C industry, working for national carriers which culminated in holding senior claims management positions and overall experience in a variety of divisions including Claims, Underwriting, and Broker.
James graduated in 2003 from SIAST with a Diploma in Business/Human Resource Management. He received his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 2009 from the Insurance Institute of Canada, his Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation in 2015 from the University of Toronto and Global Risk Management Institute, as well as his Fellowship Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation in 2018 from the Insurance Institute of Canada and Athabasca University in Alberta.
He is currently working towards his Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from McMaster University and the Surety Association of Canada, as well as his Bachelor of Management Degree from Athabasca University in Alberta.

Kristine began her career at Western Surety in 2002 as a Surety Underwriter until 2005. Kristine returned in October 2013 as Controller after working outside the surety industry during her time away from Western Surety Company. In June of 2018, Kristine was promoted to Chief Financial Officer.
Kristine completed her Business Accountancy Diploma from SIAST in 1996 and furthered her education receiving her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 2003, currently recognized as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Connor joined Western Surety in 2021 as our Manager, Construction Projects and Solutions. Connor’s background includes 7 years construction experience, including 4 years leading surety claims management across Canada.
Connor holds certifications as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT), Gold Seal Certified Owner’s Construction Manager (GSC), Project Management Professional (PMP), and LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C). Connor also holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Calgary as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Diploma in Architectural Technologies, and Certificate in Project Management from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Additionally, he studied Environmental Design at Montana State University and has completed a Certificate in Construction Law from Osgoode Hall Law School from York University.
Jason joined Western Surety in August 2015 as an IT Manager, after spending three years working for Western Surety as a contractor, developing the e-Services website.
Jason graduated in 2009 from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Computer Science.
Jennifer has been with the company twice in her career. After working for Western Surety on a five month contract in 1996, she joined a local insurance company before returning to Western Surety in 1999.
Jennifer, 'the voice of Western Surety' who handles our incoming calls, also serves as Executive Assistant to both the President and the General Counsel. She completed a Certificate in Office Education from SIAST in 1995.
