Western Surety Supports the Paul J. Hill School of Business Students’ Society

Scott Donald, President and CEO of Western Surety Company, is pleased to present a $5,000 donation in tandem with Paul and Carol Hill to the University of Regina’s Paul J. Hill School of Business Students’ Society (“HBSS”). The donation is in favour of the HBSS’s annual “5 Days for the Homeless” campaign, running March 15-19.

Traditionally, this event takes place over 5 days and 5 nights on the University of Regina campus. Five University students live on campus and forgo everyday necessities such as shelter, hygiene, and guaranteed nutrition, to raise awareness and funds to combat homelessness in Regina. The event has transitioned to virtual this year due to the pandemic.

All of the funds raised through the “5 Days for the Homeless” campaign are donated to the Carmichael Outreach, a charitable organization that provides support programs for housing, food security, clothing, and children’s needs for community members in Regina experiencing homelessness or poverty.

“The Hill Group of Companies, including Western Surety, understand the importance of giving back to our community,” says Donald. “We are pleased to support the HBSS regarding this exciting initiative and feel that Carmichael Outreach is certainly a worthy recipient! I wish to personally thank Paul and Carol for all their charitable endeavours.”
