We're adding to our team across Canada. Here are the new folks. Their job is to serve you.
George Vlastakis, Senior Underwriter – Toronto
George is experienced, trained and able to hit the ground running. He has been in the surety industry for 12 years, starting with Aviva and later with the Dominion of Canada company. Before joining the surety industry, he worked as a Customs Inspector for Customs Canada.
He holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario and has completed a number of courses for the CA program at the University of Toronto, Scarborough Campus. He's also enrolled in the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding program.
Cory Manchur, Surety Trainee – Regina
Cory joined Western Surety from Co-operators Insurance. He holds a Bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Manitoba with a major in finance.
He'll soon be completing the Canadian Securities Course and then moving on to complete the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding and Certified Management Accounting designations.
Greg Salmon, Surety Trainee – Regina
Greg graduated from Queen's University in 2001 and has also completed the Investment Funds in Canada, and Canadian Insurance and LLQP courses. He's also working on an Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding designation from the University of Toronto and Surety Association of Canada.
