Jerrod And Surety Underwriter Jerrod Briere and his wife Jen have a change in their lives, since they celebrated the arrival of Malia Lillian Paige Briere on August 7th. Malia is a healthy 7 pounds, 3 ounces. Congratulations! Malia

Kelly Kelly Sluth has been promoted to Commercial Surety Underwriter. Kelly has been with Western Surety for 7 years. Her experience and knowledge will be a great asset as she enters this new role. Going forward she will be the main Commercial Surety contact for Regina Head office. We have no doubt this will be a seamless transition for all.

Bear Bear Trapp joined Western Surety in September 2011 as a Surety Trainee. He earned a well-deserved promotion to Underwriter in May, and now he is managing accounts in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Bear received his Business Degree majoring in Finance from Sacred Heart University’s John F. Welch School of Business in Fairfield Connecticut.

He has taken over Lex’s contract surety accounts in these regions in preparation for her mat leave.

Mal Mallery Concepcion began working full time with Western Surety as a summer student on May 1st.

Mallery joined Western Surety on a part-time basis in February 2012, while completing the winter semester at the Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina. She’s been assisting with the summer workload, helping with special projects and maintaining customer service while other employees enjoy their summer vacations.

We are happy to announce that Mallery will be staying on as a Surety Assistant for a one-year term, employed full-time while she takes night classes working towards her Business Administration degree from the Paul J. Hill School of Business at the U of R.
